Universal Video Surveillance System (UVSS) is a modular and scalable Video Surveillance solution for all type of aircrafts. The system comprises different applications including Cockpit Door Surveillance, Cabin Video Monitoring and Cargo Surveillance in one common system.
A safer point of view
It is designed to be aircraft type and manufacturer independent to enable a fleet-wide deployment of a common video surveillance solution for airline customers. UVSS offers all airlines a system with customizable functionalities to consider individual expectations and needs. On top, it provides a solution which makes passengers feel safe. UVSS is based on the already used Airbus A350 XWB family Video Surveillance system.
Up to 40 high definition cameras allow monitoring of all areas in the aircraft. The video streams can be recorded and – in case of passenger misbehavior or theft – it can be used as evidence. Infrared illumination capability enables system operation in low light conditions. Movement detection reduces the amount of storage space. The Event live stream during flight and on ground enables airline security to access videos during operation of the flight.
